In Houston Again
Jun 10, 09:39 PMI know that there are a lot of people who love this city. There is a lot to love. It has lots of cultural events, great places to eat, local coffee places, big buildings, shopping, etc. But it has a highway that has 8 lanes going each way. I mean really. Eight lanes. Who thinks, “Hmm, we have lots of traffic. We could put in light rail or some other form of public transportation. Nah, it will easier and cheaper and BETTER, if just expand the highway to 16 lane.” I mean, who?
We’ve had coffee at four local places: Catalina, Antidote, Black Hole, and Inversion. My favorite was Catalina but Chris’s is Inversion. I liked Inversion too. Antidote is nice place to pick up locally made food to go but the coffee wasn’t great. Black Hole… well, I don’t recommend it. My mocha was tepid there.
I start training in earnest tomorrow. Nose to the grind stone, or so they say. Apparently last week was laid back. It was just an overview. Now comes the hard work. I have gathered my materials. I have read my homework. I am as ready as I am going to be having not slept in my bed, used my restroom, walked around my house or sat with my kitty. Bring it!

Keep up the good attitude! “I’m better than most, and as good as any!” Bring it, indeed!
